As we all know, our planet is at a crisis point, environmentally, economically, socially, and politically. We desperately need a vision that can lead us forward into a future where we recognize and respect our interconnections, with nature and with each other. The Green Party is founded on that vision – a vision of community, a just, sustainable economy, and a grassroots, democratic government in which the people are sovereign.
The Green Party has solutions, realistic, practical solutions based in research and on-the-ground experience. The Green New Deal was, and still is, at the heart of Jill Stein’s campaign for president in 2012 and 2016 and continues to be at the heart of the Green Party as a whole. It clearly lays out a plan that addresses our environmental and social crises head-on and with economic solutions. But we need people in government who are committed to putting us on that path.
This is where you come in.
First and foremost, register Green. Voter registration forms are available at any post office or library, and you can register online at registertovote.ca.gov. Registering Green is one of the easiest and most powerful things you can do. Every Green registration is a vote for peace, human rights and dignity, for sustainable economies and a living wage, for universal health care, organic agriculture, and for protection and restoration of our rivers, oceans, and fisheries. Each Green registration is a vote for campaign finance reform, for ranked choice voting and proportional representation, for free public education, kindergarten through college, for nontoxic, renewable energy, for public transportation, and for reducing greenhouse gases and halting climate change. Each and every Green registration is a standing vote for the goals of the Green Party, not just on Election Day, but every day, 24/7.
Help build the Green Party. There are countless ways you can help. Table at local events. Write letters to the editor on behalf of Green candidates you support. Talk to your friends and neighbors. Consider getting involved in your local government, working on a committee, or running for office yourself. The number of Greens in office has more than doubled in the last four years. Humboldt County now has nine Greens in elected office, but we need more if we are to change the course of this country. And those candidates need our support.

Your support keeps this web site on the Internet. It pays vendor fees so that we can table at our local fairs and events. It pays for printing the information we give to people looking for hope.
